Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at our Spruce Grove location, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits; maintain all related paperwork.
- Schedule classes, create safe environments, and keep training areas clean.
- Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and handle sick/injured pets as needed.
- Follow company policies and participate in recognition culture.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
