Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in St Catharines, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and uphold our commitment to exceptional pet care in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Create safe, clean training environments and respond to sick/injured pets.
- Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must handle pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs+, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
