Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our St. John's location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction. This role demands energy, pet love, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must thrive under pressure, stay organized, and flex for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-filled setting.
