Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Stoney Creek location, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to excel in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and cleanliness standards.
• Create safe class environments and handle pet emergencies, including vet transport if needed.
• Collaborate with store team, recognize contributions, and assist other departments as required.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and computer proficiency.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays; composure under pressure.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs (team lift 100+ lbs), handle pets in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure. Depth perception and ladder use required.
