Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at our Stratford store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Recognize associates and follow company policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Physical demands include lifting 50lbs+, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
