Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, upholds company values, and drives pet parent engagement. You'll educate on training benefits, conduct classes per curriculum, and ensure safe, clean environments in our vibrant store.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage pet parents via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns and sell classes.
- Educate on full training curriculum and act as store expert for associates.
- Schedule classes, maintain paperwork, and keep areas clean/presentable.
- Prioritize safety; handle sick/injured pets, including vet transport if needed.
- Recommend merchandise/services, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.
- Follow policies and foster a culture of belonging.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication/organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing/walking, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
