Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to thrive in a dynamic pet-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively promote and sell training packages across channels while addressing concerns.
• Maintain all training documentation, schedules, and store areas for safety and presentation.
• Serve as training expert, educating associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services/merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays mandatory. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
