Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
- Actively promote and sell pet training classes across channels.
- Educate on curriculum benefits and train fellow associates as SME.
- Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend products, and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in a dynamic pet environment.
