Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments.
- Recognize team contributions and follow all company policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
