Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Thunder Bay, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell training classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication skills. Must handle pressure, stay organized, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
