Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at PetSmart in Tomball, TX, you'll engage pet parents and their furry companions, delivering positive reinforcement training per our proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and foster exceptional experiences. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead in-person, phone, and online training sessions while managing pet parent expectations and outcomes.
• Drive sales by educating on curriculum benefits and recommending merchandise/services.
• Maintain clean, safe training areas; respond to sick/injured pets with vet transport if needed.
• Handle scheduling, paperwork, and train store associates as pet training expert.
• Collaborate across departments, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-facing retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and lifting up to 50lbs. Comfort with pets, moderate noise, and physical demands like standing/climbing required.
