Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Topeka, Kansas, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This dynamic role combines animal expertise, customer service, and sales in a pet-loving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and merchandise; educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates; recognize sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Requires 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure essential. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, handling animals in moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
