Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Toronto, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex their training expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes per company guidelines, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as store training expert, recognizing associate contributions and assisting other departments.
• Handle sick/injured pets immediately, recommend merchandise, and follow all policies.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle animals in moderate noise/wet environments with pet hair exposure.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, holidays; composure under pressure.
