Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Torrance, California, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and outstanding customer service in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedule classes, and keep areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates and recognize their sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise environment.
