Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers expert training services, engages pet parents, and drives positive outcomes. Based in Tracy, California, this role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and sales to promote our proven training curriculum. Uphold our vision of exceptional pet care while ensuring safety and fun in every class.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions over phone, in-person, or online, managing pet parent experiences and concerns.
• Actively sell classes and educate on curriculum benefits; recommend merchandise/services.
• Maintain paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
• Serve as training expert for store associates; recognize contributions to sales.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, assist other departments, and follow all policies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational skills and schedule flexibility. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
