Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Tsawwassen, BC, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safety while fostering store-wide enthusiasm for pet training.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; address concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes; educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, clean training areas, and create safe environments for people and pets.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.
• Serve as training expert, follow policies, and participate in recognition culture.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and thrive in pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
