Role Overview

PetSmart’s Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean training spaces while contributing to store-wide success.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding pet parent experiences and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes per company guidelines.
• Educate on full training curriculum benefits and train store associates as SME.
• Maintain all training paperwork, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, schedule flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, bending, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet areas. Depth perception and team lifting required.
