Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Tujunga, California, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and ensure safety while upholding company values. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and merchandise across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and scheduling per company standards.
• Create safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets immediately.
• Educate associates as training expert and recognize sales contributions.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Physical demands include standing, bending, pet handling in moderate-noise, pet-hair environments.
