Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer at our Tukwila store, you'll engage pet parents and their pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Accredited instructors like you educate on our curriculum, sell classes, and ensure safe, fun environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell and schedule training classes; educate on full curriculum benefits.
- Maintain paperwork, training area cleanliness, and safety for people and pets.
- Serve as pet training expert for associates; recognize sales contributions.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, assist other departments, and follow policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and animal exposure in a dynamic retail setting.
