Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and ensure safe, clean training spaces. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to thrive in a dynamic store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Sell training classes proactively and educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Create safe environments for classes; clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Required Qualifications

• 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience.
• PetSmart Training Instructor Course accreditation.
• Computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays; composure under pressure.

Physical Demands

Stand/walk extensively, lift up to 50lbs (team lift 100lbs+), handle pets in moderate-noise, pet-hair-filled environments with occasional wet areas or mechanical parts. Depth perception required.
