Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Ventura, CA, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive reinforcement training via PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and related merchandise.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and clean training areas.
- Handle sick/injured pets, transporting to vets as needed.
- Educate associates as pet training expert and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Excel with strong communication, organization, computer skills, composure under pressure, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs in a pet-filled environment.
