Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Visalia, California, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and ensure safety in a fun, pet-loving environment. This role suits animal enthusiasts with retail experience ready to thrive in a dynamic store setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and merchandise across channels.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedules per company standards.
• Ensure safe, clean training areas and respond to sick/injured pets.
• Educate associates as subject matter expert and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure required. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work flexible hours including evenings/weekends/holidays. Exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments common.
