Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success in Washington, Missouri. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail setting with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct training classes, managing pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online.
• Actively promote and sell training programs while educating on benefits.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Recognize team contributions, assist other departments, and respond to pet health emergencies.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-facing retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise. Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
