Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments in a dynamic retail setting with live animals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pet training per curriculum and manage pet parent interactions/outcomes.
- Actively sell classes and educate on benefits; handle paperwork and scheduling.
- Maintain safety/cleanliness; respond to sick pets and assist other departments.
- Recognize associates and recommend merchandise/services.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, pressure-handling ability, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
