Role Overview
PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales while upholding our vision. Accredited in our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage pets and owners in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safety and fun in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead classes following PetSmart curriculum and manage pet parent interactions.
- Actively sell training packages and educate on program benefits.
- Maintain records, schedule sessions, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle emergencies like sick pets, recommend services, and support store teams.
- Participate in Belonging culture and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer skills, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise setting.
