Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Whitby, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and excellence in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Sell training classes across channels and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean/safe.
- Handle sick/injured pets, recommend products, and assist other departments.
- Recognize team contributions and follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, flexible scheduling, and strong communication/organizational skills. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a dynamic store environment.
