Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training experiences using our proven curriculum. You'll engage pet parents, sell classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success. This dynamic role combines pet expertise, customer service, and sales in a fun, pet-filled retail setting. Full-time position with flexible scheduling including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead positive reinforcement training classes for dogs and puppies.
• Actively promote and sell training programs to pet parents in-store, online, and by phone.
• Maintain accurate records, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
• Handle pet parent inquiries, resolve concerns, and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Assist with sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and support other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for shifts, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment.
