Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. You'll engage customers in-store, online, or by phone, ensuring safe, fun classes that build pet-parent bonds. This role demands energy, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training sessions, managing pet parent experiences and outcomes across channels.
• Actively sell classes, educate on curriculum benefits, and resolve concerns.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training area.
• Recognize team sales efforts and assist other departments as needed.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly and recommend services/merchandise.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organization, and composure under pressure are essential. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and animal exposure in a moderate-noise, pet-hair environment.
