Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers positive training experiences, educates pet parents, and upholds our vision of exceptional pet care. Accredited in our Training Instructor Course, you'll engage customers via phone, in-person, or online, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is key in this dynamic retail role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes following PetSmart curriculum, prioritizing pet parent satisfaction and outcomes.
• Actively sell and schedule classes while educating on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain paperwork, training areas, and store safety; respond to sick/injured pets immediately.
• Collaborate with associates as training expert, recognize contributions, and assist other departments.
• Follow policies, recommend merchandise, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail/customer service experience, PetSmart Training accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and pet-handling skills required. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and exposure to pets/noise.
