Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Training Instructor engages pet parents and pets to deliver positive training experiences aligned with our vision, mission, values, and strategy. You'll proactively educate on training benefits and execute classes using our proven curriculum, ensuring safe, fun environments in our Windsor store.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns and driving positive outcomes.
• Actively sell training classes across channels and educate on full curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, schedules, and cleanliness standards.
• Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing sales contributions.
• Prioritize safety, respond to sick/injured pets, and recommend merchandise/services.
• Support other departments, follow policies, and foster a culture of belonging.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, composure under pressure, scheduling flexibility, organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs (team lifts over 100 lbs), standing, and exposure to pets, noise, and wet environments.
