Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Windsor, Ontario, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes while ensuring safety and exceptional service in a dynamic pet retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
- Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
- Create safe, clean training areas; handle sick/injured pets and transport to vet if needed.
- Recognize associates for training sales contributions and assist other departments.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, strong communication, and organizational skills. Must handle pressure, lift 50+ lbs, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical demands include standing, stooping, and exposure to pets/noise.
