Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Actively promote and sell classes, ensure safety, and educate on our curriculum. This role demands flexibility, pet passion, and customer focus in a dynamic retail environment with live animals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online; resolve concerns promptly.
• Actively sell training classes and educate on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork and schedule classes per company guidelines.
• Create safe, clean training environments; handle sick/injured pets including vet transport if needed.
• Collaborate across departments, recommend merchandise, and recognize team contributions.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Must lift 50+ lbs, stand extensively, and work evenings/weekends/holidays. Thrive under pressure in pet-filled settings with moderate noise and occasional wet/hairy conditions.
