Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Winnipeg, Manitoba, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and contribute to store success while working flexibly across evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
- Drive sales of training classes and related merchandise through education on curriculum benefits.
- Maintain accurate paperwork, schedule classes, and keep training areas clean and safe.
- Serve as training expert for store associates, recognizing their sales contributions.
- Respond to pet health issues, assist other departments, and uphold company policies.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years retail experience, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and strong communication. Thrive under pressure with organizational prowess. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic pet environment.
