Role Overview

As a Pet Trainer at our Woodhaven store, you'll engage pet parents and their furry friends, delivering positive reinforcement training per PetSmart's proven curriculum. Actively promote classes, ensure safety, and foster joyful experiences. This role suits animal lovers with retail experience ready to flex schedules for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead pet training sessions, managing pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online.
• Drive sales by educating on curriculum benefits and recommending merchandise/services.
• Maintain paperwork, schedules, and a clean, safe training environment.
• Handle sick/injured pets promptly, including vet transport if needed.
• Train store associates as pet training expert and assist other departments.

Experience & Skills

Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail, PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation, computer proficiency, and composure under pressure. Strong communication, organization, and physical ability to lift 50+ lbs essential. Thrive in dynamic pet-filled environments with moderate noise and occasional wet conditions.
