Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer is the go-to expert for positive pet training experiences. You'll engage pet parents, deliver curriculum-based classes, and promote our training programs to help pets succeed. This role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer service, and sales in a fun, pet-filled store setting. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional pet parent experiences via phone, in-person, or online, resolving concerns promptly.
• Actively sell and schedule training classes while educating on curriculum benefits.
• Maintain all training paperwork, ensure class safety, and keep areas clean.
• Serve as subject matter expert, training associates and recognizing sales contributions.
• Handle sick/injured pets, recommend merchandise, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and composure under pressure are key. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a moderate-noise environment with pet hair exposure.
