Role Overview
As a Pet Trainer in Wooster, Ohio, you'll engage pet parents and pets, delivering positive training experiences aligned with PetSmart's vision. Educate on training benefits, sell classes, and ensure safe, clean environments while contributing to store success.
Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery & Sales
Conduct classes per curriculum, actively sell in-store/phone/online, and educate on program benefits. Schedule sessions and maintain all related paperwork.
Pet Parent Experience
Handle inquiries/concerns via phone, in-person, or online. Recognize associate contributions and act as training expert.
Safety & Operations
Create safe class environments, keep areas clean, address sick/injured pets (including vet transport), recommend merchandise, and assist other departments. Follow all policies.
Experience & Skills
Require 1-2 years customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Need computer proficiency, pressure-handling, schedule flexibility (evenings/weekends/holidays), organizational skills, and strong communication. Physical demands include lifting 50+ lbs, standing, animal exposure, and moderate noise.
