Role Overview

PetSmart's Pet Trainer delivers exceptional training services, engages pet parents, and drives sales of our proven curriculum. Based in York, Pennsylvania, this role combines hands-on pet interaction, customer education, and store support to ensure positive outcomes for pets and owners alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead training classes, ensuring safe environments for pets and people
• Actively sell and schedule classes via in-store, phone, and online channels
• Handle pet parent inquiries, concerns, and paperwork with precision
• Maintain clean training areas and respond to pet health emergencies
• Educate store associates as the pet training expert and recognize contributions

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 1-2 years of customer-focused retail experience and PetSmart Training Instructor accreditation. Proficiency in computers, strong communication, organizational skills, and flexibility for evenings/weekends are essential. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, and handling live animals in a dynamic store setting.
