Role Overview

The PetsHotel Supervisor provides exceptional service to pet parents and pets, upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This full-time role ensures a welcoming, safe environment with proper healthcare and cleanliness. You'll support the PetsHotel Experience Leader in maintenance, oversight, opening/closing the store, associate supervision, and fostering a safe, organized space.

Key Responsibilities

  • People Leadership: Facilitate associate experience via training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, feedback, disciplinary action, and promotions. Delegate tasks, lead as leader on duty, address complaints, and celebrate engagement.
  • Hotel Operations: Manage pet parent experiences, pet healthcare (medication, feeding), check-in/out processes, reservations, safety reporting, store cleanliness, events, merchandise sales, and policy compliance.
  • Safety & Maintenance: Conduct safety walks, ensure safe environments, support incidents, perform equipment maintenance, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings, leadership preferred. Full-time flexibility required, including evenings, weekends, holidays. Proficiency in computer apps, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills essential. No direct reports, but guide associate development.

  • Manage pet parent interactions, reservations, and resolve concerns via phone, in-person, or online
  • Direct store opening/closing, daily tasks delegation, and promotional events coordination
