Role Overview
The PetsHotel Supervisor provides exceptional service to pet parents and pets, upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. This full-time role ensures a welcoming, safe environment with proper healthcare and facility cleanliness. Responsibilities include oversight of PetsHotel operations, associate leadership, store opening/closing, and maintaining safety standards in Mountain View, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Facilitate associate development through training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, feedback, and recognition. Delegate tasks, lead on-duty teams, and address grievances.
- Hotel Operations: Manage pet check-ins/outs, health info, medications, feeding, and vet coordination. Ensure cleanliness, safety reporting, equipment maintenance, and policy compliance.
- Customer Experience: Handle pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online. Coordinate events, sell merchandise, and resolve concerns to uphold brand promise.
- Store Support: Perform opening/closing procedures, safety walks, assist other departments, and maintain overall store standards.
Experience & Skills
Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail supervisory experience in customer-focused settings. Preferred: leadership background. Must have full-time flexibility (evenings, weekends, holidays), computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills. Passion for pets and ability to guide associates without direct reports essential.
