Role Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder) drives exceptional pet parent service, loyalty strategies, and store operations. You'll uphold PetSmart's vision while sharing oversight of safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and associate engagement. Full-time role with evenings, weekends, and holidays required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience: train, mentor, coach, provide feedback, and recognize top performers.
  • Lead as Leader on Duty: delegate tasks, handle complaints, and ensure operational compliance.
  • Deliver outstanding pet parent service in-person, phone, or online; promote events, adoptions, and sales.
  • Manage live pet welfare, cycle counts, online orders, POS backups, and store standards.
  • Support services, maintain safety/cleanliness, and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail customer service experience (leadership preferred), full availability, computer proficiency, strong communication, composure under pressure, and organizational skills. Passion for pets is a plus!

  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure (experience)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Drive pet parent experience via loyalty programs, promotions, and in-store interactions
  • Oversee store safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and opening/closing procedures
  • Manage live pet sales, adoptions, events, and vet partnerships
  • Handle customer service inquiries, online order fulfillment, and POS transactions
  • Delegate tasks, act as Leader on Duty, and address associate concerns
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pet welfare, and brand standards
