Role Overview

As Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder/Experience Lead), you'll deliver exceptional service to pet parents while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy. Drive loyalty, promotions, and interactions to achieve results. Share oversight of safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and associate engagement. Act as Leader on Duty, guiding teams without direct reports but providing key feedback.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

Facilitate associate experience via training, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and feedback for reviews/discipline/promotions. Delegate tasks, lead when LOD, address complaints, and celebrate engagement.

Brand Integrity & Store Experience

Handle pet parent interactions (phone/in-person/online), promote events/marketing for adoptions/vet/shot clinics, manage live pet sales/adoptions. Support cycle counts, POS/cash handling, online pickups, store cleanliness/safety, opening/closing, and policy compliance. Report sick pets and transport as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years customer-focused retail experience; leadership preferred. Full-time flexibility essential. Excel in communication, organization, composure under pressure, and computer skills. Passion for pets and retail success a plus.

  • Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Drive pet parent experience via loyalty programs, promotions, and exceptional service
  • Oversee store safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and operational compliance
  • Manage live pet sales, adoptions, store events, and vet partnerships
  • Handle POS transactions, online order fulfillment, and Leader on Duty responsibilities
