Role Overview

The Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder/Experience Lead) drives exceptional pet parent service, loyalty strategies, and store operations. You'll share oversight of safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and associate engagement, acting as Leader on Duty when needed. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays in our vibrant Layton store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate associate experience: Train, mentor, coach, and provide feedback for performance reviews and growth.
  • Lead pet parent interactions: Handle inquiries, promote services, manage online orders, and resolve concerns.
  • Drive sales and events: Oversee live pet sales, adoptions, shot clinics, and marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain store excellence: Ensure safety, cleanliness, compliance, and accurate inventory cycle counts.
  • Operate as key holder: Direct associates, delegate tasks, and manage opening/closing procedures.

Experience & Skills

Seeking candidates with 2+ years retail experience, leadership preferred. Key skills include strong communication, organizational prowess, composure under pressure, and computer proficiency. Passion for pets and customer service is essential—no direct reports, but you'll guide associates effectively.

  • Oversee store safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and compliance with policies
  • Manage live pet sales, adoptions, store events, and marketing initiatives
  • Handle online order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cycle counts as backup
  • Act as Leader on Duty, delegating tasks and addressing associate concerns
  • Ensure safe environment for pets, associates, and customers including sick pet protocols
