Role Overview

As Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder/Experience Lead), you'll deliver exceptional service to pet parents while upholding PetSmart's vision. Drive loyalty, promotions, and interactions to achieve results. Share oversight of safety, cleanliness, merchandising, and associate engagement. Act as Leader on Duty, guiding teams without direct reports but providing key feedback.

Key Responsibilities

People Leadership

Facilitate training, onboarding, mentoring, and coaching. Delegate tasks, lead when managers are absent, address complaints, and celebrate engagement.

Brand Integrity & Store Experience

Handle pet parent interactions across channels, promote events/adoptions, manage live pet sales, prepare online orders, operate POS, maintain cleanliness/safety, and ensure policy compliance. Report sick pets and assist other departments as needed.

Experience & Skills

Require 2+ years retail customer service experience; leadership preferred. Full-time flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays essential. Excel in communication, organization, pressure handling, and computer skills. Passion for pets and pet parents a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead associate development through training, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Drive pet parent experience via loyalty programs, promotions, and issue resolution
  • Oversee store cleanliness, safety for people/pets, and merchandising standards
  • Manage live pet sales, adoptions, events, and online order fulfillment
  • Act as Leader on Duty: delegate tasks, supervise associates, handle complaints
  • Conduct cycle counts, POS transactions, and ensure policy compliance
  • Coordinate store events for adoptions, vet partnerships, and shot clinics
