Role Overview
The Retail Customer Service Supervisor (Key Holder) is pivotal in delivering exceptional pet parent service, upholding PetSmart's vision, and driving store strategies. You'll lead teams as Leader on Duty, ensure safety for people and pets, and maintain brand standards while supporting sales, adoptions, and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate associate training, onboarding, mentoring, and performance feedback; delegate tasks and resolve grievances.
- Champion pet parent interactions via phone, in-person, or online; promote events, loyalty programs, and merchandise.
- Manage live pet sales/adoptions, cycle counts, POS backups, and online order pickups.
- Ensure store cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance; handle sick/injured pets and opening/closing duties.
- Support services, merchandising, and cross-department needs to uphold brand integrity.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of customer-focused retail experience, with leadership preferred. Full-time flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential. Excel in communication, organization, computer skills, and composure under pressure. No direct reports, but guide associates and act as Leader on Duty.
