Role Overview
As Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader), you'll drive operational excellence, sharing responsibility for merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial outcomes, and maintaining a safe store environment in Bastrop, TX. This full-time role ensures our store upholds PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, onboarding, reviews, and task delegation while fostering engagement and accountability.
- Store Operations: Oversee pet care for store-owned animals, inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts), merchandising, planograms, and Buy Online Pick Up In Store execution.
- Financial & Safety: Analyze trends to meet sales/shrink targets, control expenses, ensure policy compliance, and maintain a safe environment for associates, pets, and customers.
- Handle opening/closing procedures, vendor relations, and escalated customer concerns.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail management experience, pet care knowledge, strong leadership, inventory expertise, and analytical skills. Passion for pets, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to team development are essential. Experience in sales driving and operational improvements preferred.
