Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. You'll manage financial outcomes, associate development, and exceptional pet parent experiences in a dynamic retail setting.
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership
Recruit, coach, and develop associates; prioritize tasks, manage labor, and foster engagement through recognition and accountability.
Store Operations & Pet Care
Oversee pet health and habitats, execute inventory processes, maintain merchandising standards, and manage BOPIS/SFS programs. Ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance.
Financial & Business Management
Analyze trends to grow sales, control shrink and expenses, and leverage resources for P&L success.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership abilities, pet care knowledge, and proficiency in inventory systems. Key skills include team motivation, data-driven decision-making, merchandising expertise, and customer service excellence. Passion for pets and commitment to operational standards are essential.
