Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, and financial outcomes. This full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, coach, and develop associates; manage labor, onboarding, and performance reviews; delegate tasks and ensure pet safety training.
- Store Experience: Oversee pet health and habitats (birds, reptiles, fish); execute inventory accuracy, merchandising, and BOPIS/SFS programs; maintain vendor relations and store standards.
- Expense Management: Analyze reports to hit sales/shrink targets; control labor/supply costs; identify growth opportunities via trends and merchandising.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates bring retail leadership experience, pet care knowledge, strong organizational skills, and a passion for team development. - Handle opening/closing procedures and resolve pet parent concerns
