Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for operational excellence, upholding PetSmart's vision, mission, and values. This full-time role in Henderson, NV, focuses on merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial outcomes, and maintaining a safe, organized store environment.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, coach associates; manage onboarding, reviews, labor, mentoring, and task delegation to ensure pet safety and business needs.
- Store Experience: Oversee pet healthcare (feeding, cleaning habitats), inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts), merchandising, BOPIS/SFS programs, vendor relations, and compliance with policies.
- Expense Management: Drive sales, control shrink, analyze reports, manage labor/supplies, and leverage home office resources for P&L success.
Experience & Skills
Ideal candidates have retail management experience, strong leadership in coaching teams, expertise in inventory/merchandising, pet care knowledge, financial acumen, and problem-solving to improve operations. Passion for pets and customer service is essential.
