Role Overview
The Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader) shares responsibility for driving store performance through merchandising, inventory, pet care, and team leadership. Accountable for financial outcomes, safety, and upholding PetSmart's vision, this full-time role ensures a safe, organized store while leading associates to meet business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead people through recruiting, coaching, onboarding, performance reviews, and task delegation.
- Oversee pet care operations including habitat maintenance, feeding, and sick pet protocols.
- Manage inventory processes: receiving, stocking, counts, planograms, and BOPIS/SFS programs.
- Drive sales via merchandising decisions, trend analysis, and P&L accountability.
- Maintain store cleanliness, safety, vendor relations, and policy compliance.
- Handle opening/closing procedures and escalated pet parent concerns.
