Role Overview
As Retail Operations Manager (Process Leader), share responsibility for operational excellence. Drive merchandising, inventory, pet care, associate leadership, financial results, and a safe store environment. Uphold PetSmart's vision, mission, values, and strategy while opening/closing the store and resolving pet parent concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- People Leadership: Recruit, interview, coach associates; manage onboarding, reviews, labor, mentoring, and task delegation. Ensure training on operations and pet safety; communicate priorities and celebrate engagement.
- Store Experience: Oversee pet healthcare, habitats, inventory processes (receiving, stocking, counts, planograms), BOPIS/SFS, merchandising decisions, vendor relations, and compliance. Maintain safety, cleanliness, and respond to pet issues.
- Expense Management: Analyze reports to hit sales/shrink targets; manage labor, supplies, and P&L metrics using Home Office resources.
